Focus Station is built around a simple idea: your focus is yours. So is your data.
This policy explains, in plain language, what information Focus Station does and doesn't collect, and how we handle the small amount of data the app produces.
The short version
- We don't collect personal information. No name, no email, no phone number, no account.
- We don't track you across apps or websites.
- Your sessions, tasks, stats, and shield settings live on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.
- The apps you choose to block are stored as encrypted tokens managed by Apple. Focus Station never sees their names or any data about your usage of them.
- We use one analytics tool (PostHog) to understand how features are used in aggregate. It is anonymous and you can turn it off.
- We don't sell data. There is no data to sell.
If any of that is unclear, the sections below go into detail.
What stays on your device
The following information is created by Focus Station and never leaves your iPhone:
- Your focus sessions (start time, duration, completion state)
- The tasks you add to the Board
- Your stats and weekly rhythm shown in the Nook
- Your selection of apps and categories to block
- Your ambient sound preferences
